2019 Soil Health & Farm/Ranch Profitability Conference

This year’s conference topic is Regenerative Agriculture & Sustainable Profitability. Regenerative Agriculture is an agro-ecological approach to sustainable and profitable crop and livestock production based on restoring soil microbial activity, carbon retention and water infiltration to improve plant productivity.

Presenters include Gabe Brown of Brown Ranch in Bismarck, N.D., USDA-NRCS Soil Health Specialist for North Dakota Jay Fuhrer and USDA-NRCS Soil Health Specialist for Idaho, Wyoming and Montana Marlon Winger. Among Gabe Brown’s many awards are the Growing Green Award from the Natural Resource Defense Council, Zero Till USA Farmer of the Year, the Honor Award from the Soil & Water Conservation Society, the NCBA Environmental Stewardship Award, the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Environmental Stewardship Award, and others.

Topics that will be covered by the conference are:

  • Sustaining Life in the Soil
  • Livestock Integration on Cropland—Why & How
  • Reducing Fertilizer Use, and
  • Increasing Production & Profits.

The conference and lunch are free if you are pre-registered by Feb. 20. After that, participant will be charged $15 for lunch.
