This is the second in a four-part series on California soils hosted by the California Farm Demonstration Network  (CDFA). The series will feature four speakers, each with extensive knowledge of California soils through the lens of farming and agriculture. Speakers will be covering various topics, including composting, orchard recycling, soil sampling, testing for microbial dynamics, and more.

CDFA was formed as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD), USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), California Farm Bureau Federation (CFBF), California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), University of California, Davis (UCD), and University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR).
