Funding for Watershed Surveys and Planning Program
During FY 2008, NRCS obligated $449,697 appropriated for Watershed Surveys and Planning Program in the first quarter under the continuing resolution. This appropriation supports and benefits the NRCS Mission Goal of Clean and Abundant Water in two ways. First, the funds help improve and maintain surface waters and ground water to protect human health, support a healthy environment, and encourage a productive landscape. Second, the program funds help conserve and protect water to ensure a reliable water supply for the Nation.
Note: No funding has been authorized since FY 2008.
