Program 2016 Payment Schedules and Ranking Templates

Payment Schedules include those practices that are eligible for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP).  These conservation payments are based on typical scenarios represented in the Southeast Region and average costs. The files are also located in the Field Office Technical Guide (eFOTG) at Section I/Cost Data/Payment Schedules/EQIP/FY 16. Documents below are PDF files.

Ranking Templates

NRCS funds applications that make the most improvements to natural resources through a ranking system that assigns points. Funding selections also consider the land use and the location of the applicant's property. Different funding pools allows producers who are historically underserved or small in size to compete against each other, instead of the larger, general EQIP pool. Each initiative has its own funding pool as well. Funding pool ranking documents below are PDF files.

Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) Ranking Templates

A Conservation Activity Plan or CAP can be developed for producers to identify conservation practices needed to address a specific natural resource need. Typically, these plans are specific to certain kinds of land use such as: transitioning to organic operations, grazing land or forest land. A CAP can also address a specific resource need, such nutrient management or a herbicide resistance issue.  With a CAP plan, producers can then apply for financial assistance to implement the needed conservation practices.

EQIP payments are made directly to program participants for development of a plan, but plans may only be developed  by an NRCS-certified Technical Service Provider. Although NRCS personnel are prohibited from developing CAPs, they can assist with the development of conservation plans to address identified resource concerns.

Find a Technical Service Provider

You can find information about Technical Service Providers on the NRCS national TSP website.
