Tri Valley Watershed (Sponsor: Wasatch County)

Project Description

The United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), with Wasatch County as the project sponsor, is proposing to partially fund through the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act (Public Law [PL] 83-566), the Tri Valley Watershed Project in Wasatch County, Utah.

Improvements are being proposed within the Warner Draw Watershed to: 

  1. prevent flood damages,
  2. further the conservation, development, utilization, and disposal of water, and 
  3. further the conservation and proper utilization of land.

NEPA Analysis

An evaluation of potential project alternatives and associated environmental impacts is required and will be documented in the form a Watershed Plan and Environmental
Assessment (Plan-EA). NRCS and Wasatch County will hold a public scoping meeting to provide information about the proposed project and to collect comments.

Current Status - Public Comments Requested

At this time, NRCS is requesting comments on the project to identify issues and resource sensitivities. Written comments can be
submitted during the open comment period:

Start: January 29, 2020
End: March 2, 2020.

Comments must be received by: March 2, 2020.

Public Scoping Meeting

The public is invited to attend, discuss, and submit a comment during the public scoping meeting:
