Pecos Watershed Conservation Initiative

The Pecos Watershed Conservation Initiative, (PWCI), is a unified project led by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) bringing together seven different energy companies based in the Permian Basin as well as other organizations to work toward conservation solutions in the region. The Pecos River Watershed extends over 900 miles from Eastern New Mexico to West Texas including the Permian Basin. This initiative allows its partners to use a strategic approach to apply conservation to help enhance and restore lands and wildlife habitat in the region.

USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service will assist with matching funds as well as technical assistance to help identify the best practices used to improve and restore the land and natural resources.
