Jeff Bowie - Earth Team Volunteer Spotlight - Area 2

Jeff Bowie Receives Earth Team Appreciation Award

JeffBowie1Jeff Bowie was presented April 12th with an Earth Team Ozark Mug from Sharon Englett, Area 2 Earth Team Coordinator for his support for NRCS Earth Team Program. April is designated as “Volunteer Appreciation Month”. Jeff has a productive career with NRCS and has been a huge support of the Earth Team Program in Columbia, Tennessee. Jeff Bowie is the district conservationist in Maury county and has worked for NRCS for 30 years.

Jeff has participated in many NRCS sponsored Earth Team events including the Tree Give-A-Way to the Maury County Citizens every year, the annual Maury County Outdoor Show, the annual FFA (Future Farmers of America) Soil Judging contest for the local High Schools and he also helps lay out the FFA’s “skills testing” competition. Jeff is always willing to pass down his knowledge to future generations. He vigorously engages the public and promotes conservation in his county. His utilization of Earth Team has help increase the production and perception of NRCS in middle Tennessee.

We want to salute Jeff for continuing to strive to improve the environment not only for today, but for the next generation. He is an invaluable employee for NRCS in Tennessee and the leadership that he exemplifies stem from the quality of his personal character.
