International Committee on Soil Moisture and Temperature Regimes (ICOMMOTR)
The International Committee on soil moisture and soil temperature regimes (ICOMMOTR) was formed in 1990 to study how soil climate should be part of the Soil Taxonomy classification system. The committee evolved from an original focus on soil moisture regimes in tropical areas to include soil climate in all areas. The committee work was never completed.
