NASIS Reports

NASIS Export To Staging Server - Fatal Error Pre-Check
When a soil survey is exported from NASIS to the Staging Server, a Fatal Error script is automatically executed. This script checks the survey area for 21 fatal errors. If one these errors is identified, the export will fail, with the user receiving notification via e-mail. This report is designed to pre-checks all soil survey areas in a state for 15 of the fatal errors. It doesn't include 6 fatal errors that are related to the non-MLRA symbol and interpretations, because those issues are out of the user's control. The report is designed to be run in advance of going through the export process, allowing errors to be identified before moving through the time consuming export procedures.

  • Runs on entire state
  • Includes both major and minor components
  • Includes approved, provisional, and correlated map units in the analysis
  • Excludes additional map units
  • Only includes representative DMUs
  • Only includes legends with a geographic applicability of current wherever mapped

NASIS Export to Staging Server - Generated Brief Soil Description Stored vs. Calculated Comparison
When exporting a soil survey area from NASIS to the Staging Server, a script is run to ensure a generated brief soil description exists for each component. Yet, the script doesnt know if the generated brief soil description is current. This report solves that problem by comparing the stored generated brief soil description vs what would will be calculated. Differences are identified and the list of component record IDs is generated at the bottom report to assist with correcting the errors.

  • Includes both major and minor components
  • Includes approved, provisional, and correlated map units in the analysis
  • Excludes additional map units
  • Only includes representative DMUs
  • Only includes legends with a geographic applicability of current wherever mapped

NASIS Export to Staging Server - Export Status
Identifies export status of soil surveys exported from NASIS to the Staging Server for given fiscal year. This will help the SSS track which survey areas have been exported to the staging server during the annual SSURGO refresh. Uses data from the NASIS Distribution Metadata Table to determine status.

  • Runs on entire state or single survey area
  • Only includes legends with a geographic applicability of current wherever mapped
