Dakota Farm Talk – Native Species for Better Grazing

Invasive grasses like Kentucky blue and smooth bromegrass can be highly productive in South Dakota pastures, but their shallow rooting traits can limit water infiltration, which shortens grazing opportunities in dry conditions.
