NRCS State Technical Committee to Hold Meeting July 20

NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE, Huron, S.D., July 6, 2021 – The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold their regularly scheduled session of the State Technical Committee on Thursday, July 20, 2021, virtually via Microsoft Teams video chat software. The link for the Microsoft Teams Meeting as well as a call-in number will be posted on the news page of the South Dakota NRCS Web site (www.sd.nrcs.usda.gov) a few days prior to the meeting. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. CST. Based on the tentative agenda, the meeting may run for approximately one to two hours. 

The tentative agenda items for the July 20, 2021, meeting will include:  Welcome and Introduction; Congressional and Staff Updates;  Farm Service Agency Updates (Conservation Reserve Program); Program Updates (Environmental Quality Incentives Program, Regional Conservation Partnership Program, Conservation Stewardship Program, and the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program); South Dakota Wetland/Highly Erodible Lands Compliance Update; Conservation Collaboration Grants and Agreements Update; Partnership Reports; Conservation Innovation Grants; Soil Health Update; and other updates.
