NRCS State Technical Committee to Hold Meeting December 3

NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE (NRCS), Huron, S.D., November, 19 2020– The Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold their regularly scheduled session of the State Technical Committee (STC) on Thursday, December 3, 2020, which will be held in person (tentatively) at the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center, Huron, South Dakota, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams video chat software for those that are unable to attend in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The link for the Microsoft Teams Meeting will be posted on the news page of the SD NRCS Web site (www.sd.nrcs.usda.gov) a few days prior to the meeting. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. CST. Based on the tentative agenda, the meeting may run for approximately one to two hours. 

The tentative agenda items for the December 3, 2020, meeting will include: Welcome and Introduction; Congressional Staff Updates; Soil Health Update; South Dakota Prioritization Tool; Resource Concerns Update; Conservation Implementation Strategy (CIS); Program Updates: Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), Emergency Watershed Program (EWP) – Floodplain Easements; Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWPP); Conservation Reserve Program (CRP); South Dakota Wetland/HEL Compliance Update; and Other.
