NRCS State Technical Committee to Meet March 8 in Huron

NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE, Huron, SD, February 17, 2017–The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold the State Technical Committee (STC) Meeting on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center located at 100 Fourth Street SW, Huron, SD.  The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 10 a.m. The STC serves as an advisor to the NRCS State Conservationist. 

 The tentative agenda for the meeting includes Turner, Lincoln, Clay Soil Health Initiative Proposal, a Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 program update to include Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), and the Resource Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP); Conservation Innovation Grant Update; Conservation Reserve Program (CRP); Special Projects Update; Resource Concerns and Locally-Led Update, the South Dakota Wetland Compliance Update; and more.
