The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) invites the public to call-in for the Pacific Islands Area State Technical Committee meeting on November 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. HST. The meeting will be conducted via MS Teams video conferencing. A meeting link and a call-in telephone number is provided below.

 

Quarterly State Technical Committee Meetings are held to discuss natural resources conservation in the Pacific Islands Area and provide recommendations to NRCS on the implementation of Farm Bill programs.

 

November's meeting will provide a summary of FY 2020 conservation programs and an update on programs for FY 2021, information on Pacific Islands Area’s Soil Health strategic efforts, and feature guest speaker Leah Rothbaum, Trust for Public Lands, who will share information on the Community Guide to HI Land Conservation they and the Hawaii Island Land Trust have developed.
