NRCS to Hold Meeting/Workshop for Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP)

Susan Marquart

Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP)The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) offers new opportunities for NRCS, conservation partners and agricultural producers to work together to harness innovation, expand the conservation mission and demonstrate the value and efficacy of voluntary, private lands conservation. More than $250 million is available through the RCPP program in fiscal year 2018 for projects across the United States that improve the nation’s water quality, combat drought, enhance soil health, support wildlife habitat and protect agricultural viability.

On Friday, March 17th, the Pennsylvania USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a public informational meeting and workshop for conservation partners and others that are interested in the RCPP. Partners who are preparing an application for the RCPP or partners that are considering applying, as well as interested public are invited to attend.

The informational meeting will provide general information about the RCPP Program and application process and NRCS employees will be on hand to answer questions. If you are unable to participate in person, a phone-in number is available below.

Following the meeting, a workshop will be held to provide specific information, feedback, and assistance to any partner that is currently preparing an RCPP pre-application and those that are considering submitting an RCPP pre-application. Project pre-applications for Fiscal Year 2018 projects are due on April 21, 2017.
