PORTLAND, Ore. - (Mar. 20, 2018) - Proposals for restoration work on degraded wetlands, floodplains and forest easements are now being accepted by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

Qualified individuals and organizations must submit applications by May 18, 2018 to be considered. Nationwide, $250 million is available for easement restoration work.

For complete details and to apply, visit www.grants.gov and search "USDA-NRCS-US-WRP-ACEP-EWPP-HFRP-18-01".

"Conservation easements are a great investment when it comes to protecting Oregon's natural resources. We're doubling down on that investment to make sure private land easements continue to improve water quality, reduce flooding and provide wildlife habitat," said Loren Unruh, Assistant State Conservationist for Conservation Programs.
