Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) Forestry Management TSPs

After completing the registration requirements to access the on-line tools needed to become a technical service provider, a TSP must be certified to provide technical assistance for each conservation category of interest.  Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) Forestry Management Plan is one conservation category.  To view the certification criteria for Forestry, visit the TechReg website and select "Conservation Activity Plans".

In addition to the certification criteria in TechReg, additional requirements are required for writing Forestry Conservation Activity Plans.

Certification Requirements for Forestry Conservation Activity Plans

  • Meet qualifications as posted in TechReg for forestry CAP's.

  • Complete the following AgLearn online courses:

  • Complete a Division of Forestry Woodland Stewardship Management Plan (WSMP) and have it approved by an ODNR Service Forester. The consultant may modify an existing plan, or create a new one for a landowner.  Ohio resident applicants are asked to complete the initial certification plan using the Ohio plan template.  Non-resident applicants may submit a plan that meets the Forest Management Plan (106) criteria listed in Section III of the eFOTG for initial certification; however, plans written for landowners participating in USDA programs must conform to the Ohio plan template, and the first plan will be reviewed by an ODNR Service Forester.
