Michael Standefer - Engineer Efforts Exceeded Normal Expectations

Albuquerque, N.M. – Michael filled in for an Area engineer that was on extended medical leave. He not only completed his workload but also provided engineering assistance to Teams 5 and 6. This assistance included engineering survey, design and checkout for various land leveling projects, irrigation pipelines, and terraces. In addition, he provided training on terrace planning and design to the North and South Area engineers as well as Team 8.

Michael's efforts exceeded normal expectations because in addition to his regular workload, Michael assisted two Teams outside his Area (Teams 5 and 6). This involved travel outside of his normal service area and coordination with other producers and staff.

Through Michael's efforts, the teams were able to provide producers with completed designs in a timely manner resulting in the fulfillment of contract requirements. Much needed training on terrace planning and design was provided to Area engineers and team employees.

Michael will receive an award for his achievement and recognition.
