Congratulations to our 2013 NJ Earth Team Award Recipients!

At the end of National Volunteer Week, NRCS NJ Volunteer Coordinator Laura Coover presented the 2013 NJ NRCS Individual and Group Earth Team Awards to volunteers Cliff Lehman, Colleen Earp, and Ryan Sullivan (via Skype), seen here with Rob Tunstead. 

Colleen Earp, recipient of the 2013 NJ Outstanding Individual Volunteer Award, assisted with soil survey work, and she also helped at the New Jersey Envirothon.

Thirteen volunteers helped with the Barnegat Bay Subaqueous Soil Survey, led by MLRA Office Leader RobTunstead. They were selected for New Jersey's Outstanding Group Volunteer Award for 2013.

The two who were able to join the April 11 award celebration in Ocean County were:

  • Earth Team volunteer Clint Lehman assisted with the Barnegat Bay Subaqueous Soil Survey, 
  • NRCS Earth Team volunteer Ryan Sullivan ran trace metal analysis on samples from the Barnegat Bay at the NRCS soil lab for the subaqueous soil survey.
