USDA to Have Public Meetings about Assistance Available for Flood Damages

Representatives of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and State of Missouri agencies will participate in public meetings June 20-22 to explain various types of flood-recovery assistance available to landowners and units of government.

During the meetings, representatives of the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Farm Service Agency (FSA), Rural Development (RD), and Risk Management Agency (RMA) will describe the federal programs that they administer that could assist those whose property sustained damages from flooding that occurred in April and May. A representative of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources also will speak, and other state agencies could also be represented. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions of each agency representative.

Meeting times and locations are:

Rolla, MO – 9:30 a.m. until noon – Tuesday, June 20 at the Phelps County Courthouse, 200 North Main Street, Rolla (Room 149)

Hollister, MO – 9:30 a.m. until noon – Wednesday June 21 at Ozarks Technical Community College (Table Rock Campus), 10698 Historic Highway 165, Hollister (Community Room on the 4th floor of the Robert E. Plaster Enterprise Center).

Poplar Bluff, MO – 9:30 a.m. until noon – Thursday June 22 at the Black River Coliseum, 301 South 5th Street, Poplar Bluff (Rooms 1-2)
