Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) Program

Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) provides financial assistance to agricultural producers to voluntarily address issues such as water management, water quality, and erosion control by incorporating conservation into their farming operations. Producers may: construct or improve irrigation structures; or construct high tunnel structures.

For Fiscal Year 2017, Maine NRCS is again offering financial assistance for irrigation systems and high tunnels through the AMA program.

Applications are taken on a continuous basis.  The application cut-off for 2017 funding consideration was November 18, 2016.

NOTE: However, for Fiscal Year 2017, Maine NRCS is offering a second financial assistance sign up for high tunnel systems through the AMA program, with a focus on urban areas.  This sign up is limited to applicants in Androscoggin and Cumberland Counties only. Although applications are taken on a continuous basis, the application cut-off for 2017 funding consideration for this second round of AMA funding is June 2, 2017.
