NRCS to Hold Maryland State Technical Committee Meeting Nov. 28

Annapolis, Md., October 4, 2018- USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a meeting of the Maryland State Technical Advisory Committee on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. - Noon.  The meeting will be held at the Maryland NRCS State Office, 339 Busch’s Frontage Rd, Suite 205 in Annapolis.

The meeting will focus on Fiscal Year 2019 Programs, including the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) and the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).

The Maryland State Technical Advisory Committee provides recommendations for establishing technical guidelines and program criteria and priorities necessary to carry out conservation provisions of the Farm Bill. The Committee includes members from a wide variety of natural resource and agricultural interests. Chaired by the Maryland NRCS State Conservationist, the Committee is composed of representatives from Federal and State natural resource agencies, agricultural and environmental organizations, and agricultural producers.

The Committee meets regularly to provide information, analysis, and recommendations to NRCS management staff. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
