Precision Conservation Management

Introduction

The Precision Conservation Management RCPP proposal was submitted by the Illinois Corn Growers Association in Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 and approved as an RCPP National Project in FY 2016. The 5-year project will utilize $456,000 in financial assistance through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program in Kentucky. The project’s primary goal is to address water quality resource concerns on cropland located in specific Cornfield stretching into distance.watersheds in Illinois and Kentucky. 

Precision Conservation Management In Kentucky

There are three Focus Regions in Kentucky where funds will be utilized to implement practices such as Precision Nutrient Management, Cover Crops, and Residue and Tillage Management. 

The following Kentucky Counties will receive assistance through this RCPP Project: 

  • Lower Green (Henderson, Daviess, McLean) 
     
  • Lower Cumberland (Christian, Todd, Logan) 
     
  • The Purchase (Graves, Carlisle, Hickman, Fulton) 

How to Apply and Application Cut-Off Date

Applications will be screened using the Precision Conservation Management Screening Sheet and High priority applications will be ranked using the Precision Conservation Management Field Ranking SheetFinancial Assistance cost estimates for approved contracts, will be calculated using the FY 2021 RCPP-EQIP Payment Schedule

Fiscal Year 2021 Application Batching Periods: November 20, 2020 and May 21, 2021

Interested applicants can fill out an RCPP-EQIP application at their local USDA Service Center.  

Conservation Stewardship Program 2019-1 Signup for Precision Conservation Management RCPP-CSP

Applications will be accepted for the 2019-1 signup through July 26, 2019.  Interested applicants can submit an RCPP-CSP application at their local USDA Service Center.
