BOISE, ID, June 21, 2019 –The Greater Spokane River Watershed Regional Conservation Partnership Program is seeking applicants with forest land within the project watershed located in parts of Kootenai, Shoshone, and Benewah Counties. Applications are being accepted until July 26, 2019, for funding through the Healthy Forests Reserve Program (HFRP), a program that provides financial and technical assistance to eligible participants who want to protect, restore, or enhance habitat on forest lands they own or manage.

HFRP provides forest landowners with restoration agreements or easements to aid the recovery of endangered and threatened species or State or Tribal species of concern. Eligible land owners have until close of business on July 26 to submit the required documentation to be considered for this funding cycle. Applications will continue to be accepted after this deadline, but ranking will be deferred until the next funding cycle.
