Nate Matlack, District Conservationist, 208.244.5024

BOISE, ID, May 25, 2018 –The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Idaho has extended the sign-up period for the Lower Marsh Creek Water Quality Improvement special project to June 22, 2018.

This project, spearheaded out of the NRCS Idaho Pocatello Field Office, will utilize the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) to target water quality concerns along the Lower March Creek.

EQIP helps agricultural producers complete resource conservation projects and make conservation-related management changes on their farms or ranches.  Conservation program participation is voluntary and helps private landowners and operators defray the costs of installing conservation practices.

For more information on this special project or to sign up, you can visit the Pocatello Field Office at 1551 Baldy Ave., Suite 2, Pocatello, ID 83201, or call District Conservationist Nate Matlack at 208-244-5024. To learn more about EQIP, please visit NRCS online at
