#Plant2021

#Plant2021After a long winter and a challenging year, spring has finally come. 2020 was the first time that many Americans ever saw an empty shelf at the grocery store, and for the first time, some realized how much they take farming and the people who make it possible for granted.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service in Idaho would like to invite you to participate with us in the #Plant2021 online campaign. Using this hashtag, many farmers and agricultural operations post photos and videos to their social media channels that document their planting work. It’s a great way to share the story of agriculture in America with audiences not just nationwide, but worldwide.

We’ll not only be following the hashtag all season long via our www.FarmersGov accounts, we’ll also be contributing via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We invite you to partner with NRCS by sharing the story of your planting season through photos, videos, and quotes. For information on how to participate in the campaign with us, read our blog, and submit your photos and videos to SM.FP.Social@usda.gov. You can also correspond with our staff directly using that email address, and if you run into any technical issues, let them know.

As fewer and fewer Americans understand what farmers and ranchers do and why it matters, it’s more important than ever to share these stories.
