The Mobile County Natural Resources Council partnered with the City of Prichard for the annual tree give-away for Mobile County. The seedling give-away was in conjunction with the 5th Annual Arbor Day Celebration Program at Prichard, Alabama.

More than 30 participants attended the one day event at the Prichard Civic Center.

Prichard received a plaque in recognition as a Tree City USA city that was presented to the City of Prichard Urban Forestry and Green Space Advisory Board.

Partner Beau Brodbreck, Alabama Cooperative Extension System Regional Urban Forester , gave a presentation on Urban Tree Care and Alabama Forestry Commission Stephanie Gapud was in charge of the tree give-away following the program.

After the celebration, the Alabama Natural Resource Council committee members traveled to Eight Mile Colin Elementary School where they assisted with tree planting at a barren site. High-school students and forestry students from George Bryant Career Technical School assisted with the tree give-away and helped plant the trees.
