NRCS-WA announces FY’25 CSP Classic batching deadline

Application batching deadline: Jan. 17, 2025
FSA Eligibility deadline: Feb. 24, 2025
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Washington (NRCS-WA) announced January 17, 2025 as the application batching deadline for the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) Classic for Fiscal Year 2025.
The Conservation Stewardship Program is for producers who are passionate about conservation and environmental stewardship and offers technical and financial assistance to help them take their conservation efforts to the next level.
Through CSP, agricultural producers and forest landowners earn payments for actively managing, maintaining, and expanding conservation activities like cover crops, ecologically-based pest management, buffer strips, and pollinator and beneficial insect habitat – all while maintaining active agricultural or forest production on their land. CSP also encourages the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and new management techniques such as precision agriculture applications, on-site carbon storage and planting for high carbon sequestration rate, and new soil amendments to improve water quality. The yearly minimum CSP payment is $4,000 per year. This is a great option for small landowners to also participate in CSP.
