Our Amazing Grasslands, June 2024 – Tanka Fund – Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota

Publish Date
Buffalo on range in Tanka Fund area

Bringing back the buffalo to Northern Great Plains

“We want to work with our producers to give them the best resources that we can provide and help them find answers to some problems that they might have.”
Arnell Abold

In this seven-minute video, we join Arnell Abold, Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe member and Tanka Fund Business Development Director, and Dr. Trudy Ecoffey, Tanka Fund Co-Executive Director, as they work with the Tribal producers to give them the best resources that we can provide and help them find answers to some problems that they might have. We can help provide a solution that changes things in a whole other direction for them in a good way, and not only for themselves but also for the buffalo, for the community, for the land.

The South Dakota Grassland Coalition (SDGC) partnered with the organizations listed below to enhance the Grassland Planner with a release of a short video story each month during 2024, promoting healthy soils, grasslands, and ecosystems.
