Due March 3: Applications for Organic Conservation Assistance

Agricultural producers interested in transitioning to organic should apply by March 3, 2025. 

Huron, SD, February 3, 2025 – Farmers and ranchers in South Dakota (SD) wishing to implement conservation practices that support agricultural producers interested in transitioning to organic should apply with their local USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Service Center by March 3, 2025. 

NRCS offers a wide variety of conservation practices for producers who are organic or who are transitioning to organic. Eligible producers include farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, and other producers beginning or in the process of transitioning to organic certification.
