Welcome to the NRCS North Dakota AAPI webpage. It is important to understand that the AAPI community is very diverse, with over 50 ethnicities of Asian and Pacific ancestry.
They have their own unique histories, migration patterns, languages, customs, cultures, religions, foods, etc.
May is considered Asian/Pacific American Heritage month. For several years, the White House has celebrated May as Asian/Pacific American Month. From new immigrants, to the descendants of those who have been in America for centuries, President Bush recognizes the importance and contributions of the fastest-growing segment of our population.
Diversity represents one of our greatest strengths, and we must strive to ensure that All Americans have the opportunity to reach their full potential. By recognizing the Accomplishments and contributions of Asian/Pacific Americans, our Nation celebrates the importance of inclusion in building a brighter future for all our citizens.
