Colorado NRCS has announced a second EQIP sign‑up deadline of June 8, 2026, offering producers another chance to apply for targeted conservation funding. This batching period supports efficient application review and meets the required 30‑day public notice window.

Colorado - May 8, 2026 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Colorado Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announces a second EQIP sign-up deadline of June 8, 2026, for two targeted funding opportunities. This second batching period ensures producers have a clear, consistent timeline while allowing the agency to meet the required 30‑day public announcement window.

NRCS programs accept applications year-round; however, batching dates allow the agency to efficiently evaluate applications and allocate funding to support high‑priority conservation needs.

Second Sign-Up Opportunities (EQIP):

Area 1

  • Joint Chief’s Headwaters of the Colorado Initiative Project

Area 2

  • Yuma County Targeted Conservation Program (TCP) – Sandhills Rangeland

Eligible producers in these areas are encouraged to contact their local NRCS office as soon as possible to begin the application process or to update an existing application.
