NRCS staff participated in multiple activities at the 2024 Land Trust Alliance Rally: The National Land Conservation Conference, sharing information on conservation easement program and careers with NRCS.
Yesterday, USDA announced up to $7.7 billion in assistance for fiscal year 2025 to help farmers and forest managers adopt conservation practices on working lands. It includes up to $5.7 billion for climate-smart practices funded by the Inflation Reduction Act and $2 billion in Farm Bill funding.
Palouse Conservation District and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service will start accepting applications for their Palouse River Watershed Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) funding starting Oct. 1, 2024, until Oct. 31, 2024.

NRCS in Georgia announces a ranking date for the land management activity portions of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program. Interested producers must apply by November 15, 2024, for their application to be included in this batch of program funding.
Cascadia Conservation District is working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and other partners, to run the program, which has $2.1 million available in financial assistance.
