This funding is part of the RCPP Upland to Lowlands Climate-Resilient Cores and Connectors Project. The RCPP uses partnerships to coordinate and target resources to address climate change, improve the nation’s water quality, combat drought, enhance soil health, support wildlife habitat, and protect agricultural viability. The Uplands to Lowlands Climate-Resilient Cores and Connectors project is focused on conserving land and increasing watershed resilience in eastern New York and adjacent areas.
All applications are competitive and are ranked based on locally identified resource priorities, as well as the overall benefit to the environment. Interested landowners within the project area in New York should contact Rensselaer Plateau Alliance (RPA) Project Manager, Alana Gerus at alana@rensselaerplateau.org, or their local NRCS Service Center for more information.
