2026 Ohio NRCS State Technical Committee Meeting Tour
Registration is open for the 2026 Ohio NRCS State Technical Committee Tour, which will take place on Thursday, August 13th. The tour is free to attend, but registration is required for planning purposes. To register, please complete this form by close of business on Friday August 7th. With limited seats, registration is open on a first come, first served basis.
The tour will serve as the next Ohio NRCS State Technical Committee Meeting. With the in-person tour being a major component of this meeting, there will not be a virtual option for the August 13th meeting.
We will stop at several sites and hear from producers and agency representatives about experience working to implement a variety of conservation practices (agenda below). We plan to meet at the Union County Sports Complex (16000 County Home Rd, Marysville, OH 43040) which has a large parking lot where we can park vehicles for the day and board a charter bus which will depart at 9:00am and return by 3:30pm.

Meet at 16000 County Home Rd, Marysville, OH 43040
8:30 – 9:00: Check in and board bus at Union County Sports Complex: 16000 County Home Rd, Marysville, OH 43040
9:00 – 9:35: Depart & Travel to O’Connor-Phelps Farm in Belle Center, OH
9:45 – 10:35: Tour O’Connor-Phelps Farm: Cow-calf operation and feedlot situated on Indian Lake including long-term no-till grain production, rotational grazing, and two constructed wetlands.
10:45 – 11:10: Travel to CREP Wetland and CSP Site
11:15 – 11:35: View newly constructed CREP Wetland and CSP site: Newly constructed CREP wetland adjacent to woodland enrolled in CSP for brush management and forest stand improvement.
11:45 – 12:00: Travel to OSU Lima
12:15 – 1:00: Lunch at OSU Lima Regenerative Farm
1:15 – 2:00: Tour OSU Lima Regenerative Farm: Research and demonstration of in-field regenerative farming practices and edge-of-field water management and water quality practices including: no-till, cover crop mixes, automated controlled drainage, saturated buffer, center pivot irrigation, and drainage water recycling.
2:15 – 3:25: Travel to Union County Sports Complex: 16000 County Home Rd, Marysville, OH 43040
3:30: Adjourn
