USDA & National Drought Mitigation Center Host PR & USVI Drought Monitor Forums

Over 80 scientists, agronomists and farmers participated in the USVI & PR Drought Monitor Forums held August 30-31 at the University of the Virgin Islands and September 1st at the USDA Forest Service / International Institute of Tropical Forestry in Rio Piedras.

Community Gardens Sprout in St. Croix

The gardens help these communities strengthen nutrition and well-being, promote agricultural development and food security, and conserve natural resources. They also provide a fun summer activity for children, where they learn to care for growing things while receiving a nutritious meal.
