Comment Period on NRCS's Farm Bill Minor Rule

Comments Due by September 30, 2014

NRCS published a Farm Bill minor interim rule, with request for comment, on August 1 that made several nondiscretionary changes to multiple program regulations.

2014 Master Farmer University Begins January 16 at West Monroe Convention Center

The Louisiana Master Farmer program will offer a two-day workshop – called Master Farmer University – beginning January 16 at the West Monroe Convention Center and concluding with a farm tour on January 17. Please read attached flyer.

Louisiana Migratory Bird Habitat Initiative

Through the Migratory Bird Habitat Initiative (MBHI), NRCS will work with farmers, ranchers and other landowners to manage portions of their land to enhance habitat for migrating birds. MBHI projects will benefit wildlife, landowners, and the environment for years to come.
