Farmers and landowners in Arkansas have until Nov. 21, 2014, to submit applications to receive financial assistance to implement conservation activities through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) for the 2015 program year.
Arkansas USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State Conservationist Mike Sullivan announced today the award of a $74,999 state-level Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG) to the University of Arkansas Extension Service.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced $328 million in conservation funding is being invested to help landowners protect and restore key farmlands, grasslands and wetlands across the nation.
Communities across the nation, including in Arkansas will benefit from a $262 million investment to rehabilitate dams that provide critical infrastructure and protect public health and safety.
