The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the availability of $2 million to help farmers install edge-of-field stations that monitor water quality as it leaves their fields, providing data to evaluate the success of various conservation efforts.
USDA announced the availability of $15 million to help eligible conservation partners leverage local investments to provide technical and financial resources for wetland protection and improvements on private and Tribal agricultural lands nationwide
Proposals sought for water quality, outreach and conservation finance
Farmers and landowners in the Illinois River Watershed in portions of Benton and Washington counties in Arkansas have until May 2, 2016, to submit applications to receive financial assistance to implement conservation practices through the Illinois River Watershed RCPP.
USDA is now accepting proposals for Fiscal Year 2017 RCPP funding. Pre-proposals are due May 10.
