Farmers and landowners in four Mississippi River Basin Healthy Watersheds Initiative projects have until March 21 to submit applications for financial assistance. The projects are:
Bayou Meto Middle
The Western Arkansas Woodland Restoration project aims to double the conservation activity on private lands in 29 counties and on the Ozark-St. Francis and Ouachita National Forests over the next three years. Click here for project information.
Farmers and landowners in Benton and Washington counties have until March 21, 2014, to submit applications to receive financial assistance to implement conservation practices through the Illinois River Sub-Basin and Eucha-Spavinaw Lake Watershed Initiative.
Nou Lo is a poultry producer in Washington County, Ark. She and her husband worked hard on a 40-acre livestock and poultry farm near for more than seven years. They had heard about NRCS from other Hmong producers and visited the Washington County Field Service Center to learn more.
