Alabama NRCS' State Conservationist, William E. Puckett, has retired from the agency after 31 years of service. Puckett served as Alabama's State Conservationist for six years. Read more about Puckett's career and retirement reception.
Customers can now log in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to electronically sign documents, apply for conservation programs, access conservation plans, report practice completion, or track the status of conservation payments.
NRCS Alabama's Sutton Gibbs was recently recognized as an exceptional alumni of Auburn University's College of Agriculture. Gibbs is the College of Agriculture’s 2015 Alumni Service Award recipient.
Troy University Archaeology and Geomatics students made a trip to central Alabama to look for remnants of the past. They visited an Indian mound located on a WRP easement in Wilcox County. Read more about their experience.
The annual water festival attracted hundreds of Auburn-Opelika area 4th graders and 100 volunteers. Students learned about the water cycle, water storage and water filtration.
