USDA-NRCS has announced $10.6 million in funding available to aid forest managers working to restore longleaf ecosystems on private lands in nine states. Alabama will receive $2.6 million in funding.
Mr. J.B. Turner of Harvest, Alabama has been named the Alabama Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) 2016 Small Farmer of the Year. An award plaque and an engraved clock were presented to Mr. Turner at the Federation of Southern Cooperative’s 48th Annual Meeting in Epes, AL.
USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Chief Jason Weller today announced that Ben Malone of McCalla, Ala. will begin serving as Alabama’s State Conservationist on Monday, October 5, 2015.
Customers can now log in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to electronically sign documents, apply for conservation programs, access conservation plans, report practice completion, or track the status of conservation payments.
