Earthworms in the soil are a sign of healthy soil, creating pores for water to infiltrate. Soil erosion has created an enormous gully and damaged a fence in western Iowa. Fifth grade students from Prairie Valley School plant bushes as part of an Eath Day Project. Tama County Farmer Wade Mitchell planted a rye cover crop in 2012.
