Iowa Soil Erosion
Iowa soil erosion pictures over the years from heavy rains. Much of this type of severe erosion can be reduced with conservation on the ground. Practices such as no-till, strip-till, cover crops, terraces, grassed waterways, filter strips, and streambank stabilization will protect much of the soil, and hold it in place.
