MORGANTOWN, WV, July 14, 2014 – USDA employees in West Virginia have answered the call again by collecting and donating products as part of USDA’s Feds Feed Families campaign. The Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Farm Service Agency and Rural Development are partners in the annual food drive running through August 27.
The Feds Feed Families food drive is open to the public for donations. The state office, located at 1550 Earl L. Core Road in Sabraton has collection boxes in the lobby. Donations will be distributed locally. Produce from the People’s Garden Project, will be distributed to the Morgantown Ronald McDonald House.
In West Virginia, 350 pounds of food was collected and distributed to local food pantries last year. USDA field offices across the state have collection boxes and distribute items to local community organizations.
