USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will host the webinar, open to both conservation partners and the general public, on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST. This webinar on the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) will help potential applicants as they seek available funding. Through this round of funding, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will invest up to $235 million to improve the nation's water quality, combat drought, enhance soil health, support wildlife habitat and protect agricultural production. Partners will match the Federal investment.
No-till on the Plains is hosting two Whirlwind expos in Nebraska, June 15 in Stuart and June 17 in Venango. Attendees for these events will hear from producers and industry experts about the benefits of no-till farming practices. Topics covered will include crop rotations, soil fertility, cover crops, equipment setup and livestock integration.

The 2015 Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition (NGLC)- Nebraska Cattlemen (NC) - UNL Extension Summer Grazing Tour is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16 in south central Nebraska. This year's tour features four stops including Jim and Betty Choquette (Upland), Green Cover Seed cover crop plot demonstration (Bladen), the US Fish and Wildlife Service Jensen WPA livestock grazing demonstration (Campbell) and the Willa Cather Memorial Prairie (Red Cloud).
Additional special features include a panel discussion of two long term cover crop grazers including Lanny Greenhalgh (Guide Rock) and Wayne Rasmussen (Plainview). The evening concludes with a steak fry prepared by the South Central Cattlemen's Association.
Tour begins and ends at the Webster County Fairgrounds near Bladen with registration beginning at 7:30 AM and the evening meal concluding by 8 PM.
