The Rosebud Conservation District Soil Health Workshop and Ag Expo will be in Forsyth Montana, at the
Rosebud Treasure County Fair Grounds Exhibit Hall, Dec. 1 through Dec. 3, 2015.
Our goal is to educate farmers, ranchers, and local producers about the impacts of conservation practices on soils physical and chemical properties.
Main Speakers are:
Dr. Don Huber, Professor Emeritus of Plan Pathology at Purdue University.
Dr. Elaine Ingham, the founder of the Soil Foodweb Inc.
Burke Teichert, a consultant and columnist for BEEF magazine.
Gabe Brown, a rancher from North Dakota.
Farmers and ranchers located in the Deep Creek Watershed in Broadwater County, Montana, are eligible to apply for assistance through the National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI). FY 2016 is the third and final year of eligibility for this watershed. December 18, 2015 is the application deadline for agricultural operators to be considered for FY 2016 funding.
