President Obama established the White House Rural Council to identify opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs in rural America. Through its work, the Department of Labor (DOL) and USDA have agreed to work together to increase access to existing job search and training information for rural job seekers by providing employment information at the 2,800 USDA field offices nationwide. This will significantly reduce the distance that rural Americans need to travel in order to access DOL job search employment information.
NRCS Texas will be providing Career One Stop information packets to jobseekers that come into field, zone and state offices and inquire about employment and education in obtaining a job. This information packet will be made readily available to anyone entering NRCS offices.
