Conservation Compliance - Highly Erodible Land and Wetland Conservation

In order to be eligible to participate in certain USDA programs, the Food Security Act of 1985, as amended, requires that farmers and ranchers who produce annually tilled agricultural commodities on highly erodible land to adequately protect their land from erosion. The Act also applies to farmers and ranchers who produce annually tilled agricultural commodities or make possible the production of agricultural commodities on land classified as wetlands.

Please visit the National Compliance, Appeals, Mediation, Relief website for more information about conservation compliance on highly erodible land and wetlands.
