NRCS Chief Dave White is hosting a series of partner forums to keep partners informed of activities taking place under the agency’s drainage water management effort. Partner Forum I -- March 23, 2011
The first partner forum was held March 23, 2011 to provide input on how NRCS should approach the issue. A recently completed demonstration project sponsored by the Agriculture Drainage Management Coalition and funded by the NRCS Conservation Innovative Grants (CIG) program, provided additional insight into the issue and its associated potential solutions. A second partner forum was held June 15, 2011 to answer questions raised in the first partner forum and present additional information related to drainage water management in the Upper Mississippi River Basin. The Phase II team’s draft Action Plan was presented and comments requested. See the subjects below for more details.
