AWM - Installation

In 2010 AWM 2.4 was automatically installed on all NRCS computers which had earlier version of AWM. However, the new AWM users need to download the AWM installer and install on their computer using the procedure describe in the AWM Installation Guide . The system requirements to run AWM 2.4 include:

  • Any IBM-compatible machine with at least a 400 Mhz processor
  • Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows 7, Windows XP, or Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Access 2002 or later (including Access 2007)
  • At least 256 MB of RAM
  • At least 30 MB of hard drive storage space
AWM installation requires administrative privileges. New AWM users on USDA computers should seek IT support staff assistance for installation.
 
If you don't have access to internet, you can also obtain AWM installation package on a CD from NRCS by writing to West National Technology Support Center, 1102 NE Lloyd Blvd #1000, Portland, Oregon 97232 (Att. Harbans Lal), or by clicking here and sending an email request for the CD containing the AWM 2.4 installation software.
