The following three maps display information on Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) easements which obligated fiscal year 2007 FRPP funds.
This voluntary program helps farmers and ranchers keep their land in agriculture. The program provides matching funds to State, Tribal, or local governments and non-governmental organizations with existing farmland protection programs to purchase conservation easements. All FRPP easements are permanent easements. In FY-2007 NRCS allocated more than $70 million to include more than 299 easements in the program, protecting nearly 54,488 acres.
