NRCS's new Teachers and Students webpage, offers excellent age-appropriate educational resources. These tools are designed to help students learn about soil, water, air, plants and animals and what we can all do to protect those resources.

The webpage includes:

S.K. Worm shares his scientific knowledge on soil on his guided interactive soil tour. Other NRCS characters, like Major Mulcher and Not-Till Bill, take students through activities that teach the basics of clean water in a free packet called Your Hometown Clean Water Tour.

For the Good of the People  helps student learn where their food comes from, how it is produced and what they can do to conserve resources now and in the future. This 32-page booklet is written for a fifth grade audience and can be downloaded for free here.

The Wonder of Discovery – Pollinators All Around is NRCS’ newest pollinator poster.  Discover all the bees, hummingbirds, bats, butterflies and more, showing why pollinators are important. A new one is produced annually each year. All are available free at NRCS’ Distribution Center.
